The Giallorossi romped away with the game in the second half at the Stadio Mario Rigamonti, as Federico Fazio, Nikola Kalinic and Nicolo Zaniolo - for the first time since his injury - all got on the scoresheet.
Building on the hard-fought, narrow defeat of Parma on Wednesday, Paulo Fonseca's side looked increasingly comfortable in their 3-4-2-1 setup, creating chances throughout against their beleaguered opponents.
It took them until the second half to break the deadlock, however, as Fazio profitted from a goalkeeper error. But from that point on the visitors were simply untouchable.

Kalinic's slick touch and finish - from a great ball through from Carles Perez - effectively killed the game off on the hour-mark, and set the stage for Zaniolo to enjoy a late cameo.

Even after that there was still time for another sub, Edin Dzeko, to hit the post twice, as Roma threatened to run riot.
But Fonseca will nevertheless be pleased with both the performance and the result, as the Giallorossi now head into a run of two successive home games (against Hellas Verona and Inter Milan) looking to cement their progress.
