Dzeko and Pjanic fire Bosnia to victory in Switzerland

Edin Dzeko and Miralem Pjanic enjoyed a successful evening in Switzerland on Tuesday as they grabbed the goals to seal a 2-0 friendly success for Bosnia

The Roma striker opened the scoring in the first half before the midfielder produced another free-kick masterpiece – having already scored one against Luxembourg on Friday – to seal the victory in the second half.

Ervin Zukanovic also took part in the game before going off in the 85th minute.

Stephan El Shaarawy was on the score sheet for Italy as the Azzurri went down 4-1 to Germany in Munich. The forward netted the consolation goal for Antonio Conte's side after coming on as a 69th-minute substitute.

Alessandro Florenzi played the first hour of the match while Antonio Rudiger played the full 90 minutes for Germany.

Elsewhere, Lucas Digne made a second-half appearance in France's 4-2 triumph over Russia.

Radja Nainggolan played the full game in Belgium's 2-1 defeat at the hands of Portugal.

Over in Alexandria, Mohamed Salah helped Egypt beat Nigeria 1-0 as the Egyptians moved to within a point of qualifying for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.

Vasilis Torosidis remained on the pitch for 78 minutes but was unable to prevent Greece from losing 3-2 at home to Iceland.

Finally, Salih Ucan's Turkey U21s suffered a 5-0 defeat against Slovakia in a European Championships qualifier.
