The two Brazilians spent time with some of the patients on the ward, presenting them with a number of Roma-themed goodies during the visit.
“Children can get sad when they’re unwell, but we do everything we can to help them and bring a bit of joy into their lives,” said Juan Jesus. “We brought them some footballs and gifts to put a smile on their faces and brighten up their day.”
“It’s always important to help children smile,” added Castan. “It’s our responsibility to set an example when we can. We’re delighted to be able to make these kids happy.”
The visit was part of the Toys Days initiative, which was launched by the Roma Cares Foundation and is run in collaboration with GECO Animation.
