After Stephan El Shaarawy's early opener, it looked like Alisson's heroics would prove enough to secure all three points for the visitors - until Matias Vecino's late equaliser.
Read what the Brazilian had to say about the game.
It was a great performance from you tonight but it wasn’t enough to get the three points...
"I played well, yes, but as a keeper when you concede it means you’ve not had a good game. It’s a shame that I couldn’t make the save. [Marcelo] Brozovic supplied a good cross and it was a nice header from Vecino."
What do you make of the result?
"We’ve got a point and we’ll take that, but it could have gone better. We’re not having a great time of it at the moment but we just need to keep our heads down and push on."
You really rose to the challenge of stopping Mauro Icardi. Did the Brazil v Argentina rivalry come into it?
"There’s always a Brazil v Argentina edge to it. He’s a top player. I like playing against him because he’s a fantastic footballer."
When Roma dropped off in the second half, do you think that was more physical or mental? You couldn’t keep hold of the ball in the last 20 minutes.
"That’s right, but we don’t know if it was fitness yet. I think it’s more of a mental thing – we need to work on it. When I spoke to my team-mates, they said that they could have kept running. We need to focus on improving our game management. We just stopped playing and you can’t do that against a side as good as Inter. The point keeps us in the hunt but we need to try to improve as a team."
