The club's esports side is gearing up for the most prestigious competition in the world-renowned Konami football video game, together with other international players and clubs.
The pro players of the AS Roma Esport team have almost finished the preparation phase, having sharpened their skills and prepared their tactics ahead of the fifth edition of the eFootball Championship Pro.
The competition starts on February 11 at 13:00 CET, with the potential route to victory passing through challenges with some of the biggest Italian and European clubs: Barcelona, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, AS Monaco, AC Milan and Inter Milan are all involved.
Each team will have three players in their squads.
Against such strong competition, the Giallorossi will be looking to to get to the end of one of the most popular online competitions; the competition's YouTube channel ran up over 12 million views last season.
The competition will be different from the 2022 edition and will take place in two main phases: the Regular League and Knockout Stage. The Regular League will be split into seven matchdays over four months, with three 1-vs-1 point matches.
At the end of this phase, kick-off for the knockout challenges for the top six in the Dream Team mode (always 1-vs-1), in which each match will be best-of-three and will decide the winner of the tournament.
After three years, for the first time since the beginning of the global health emergency the competition will take place in person - and the host city will be Barcelona.
In addition to supporting our players, it will be possible - for fans of the team and of esport competitions - to participate in special competitions to obtain prizes throughout the course of the season, by simply getting involved in the various contests that will be shared via the tournament and club web and social channels.
The eFootball Championship Pro will be streamed on YouTube and Facebook as well as on our Twitch channel @romaesports.

La strada per la vittoria passa attraverso le sfide con club italiani ed europei: Barcellona, Manchester United, Bayern Monaco, Arsenal, AS Monaco, Milan e Inter. Ogni team avrà in rosa tre giocatori.
Un roster di compagini di alto livello che vedrà i colori giallorossi cercare di imporsi per arrivare fino in fondo a una delle competizioni eSport più seguite: la scorsa stagione infatti sono state registrate oltre 12 milioni di views del sul canale YouTube dedicato al trofeo.
La competizione sarà differente rispetto all’edizione del 2022 e si svolgerà in due fasi principali: Regular League e Knockout Stage.
La Regular League sarà suddivisa in sette matchday nell’arco di quattro mesi, con tre match 1-vs-1 a punti. Al termine di questa fase, partiranno le sfide a eliminazione diretta per le prime sei classificate nella modalità Dream Team (sempre 1-vs-1): ogni match sarà al meglio delle tre e decreterà il vincitore del torneo.
Dopo tre anni, per la prima volta dall’inizio dell’emergenza sanitaria, la competizione si svolgerà in presenza e la città ospitante sarà Barcellona.
Oltre a sostenere i nostri giocatori, sarà possibile - per i tifosi e per i fan delle competizioni eSport - partecipare ai concorsi per ottenere premi durante la stagione, seguendo le informazioni che verranno condivise sui canali web e social del torneo e del club.
