Manuela Giugliano's deflected strike deep into injury time eventually secured the win for the Giallorossi, after Paloma Lazaro's opener had been cancelled out by Stefania Tarenzi early in the second half.
Following a build-up to the game that saw a number of players affected by positive Covid tests, Alessandro Spugna's somewhat makeshift team selection nevertheless eventually secured a win that keeps their aspirations for the league campaign firmly alive.
"The main thing today is that we kept believing until the very end," Spugna said. "These are three massive points for us.
"It has not been a straightforward week, we had to manage situation with the positive [Covid] tests, along with the fears that perhaps we would have other cases too.
"We trained individually, we had to change things to prepare for the game in a way that prioritised the health and safety of the girls and the staff."
