Report: Clinical finishing sees off Debreceni

Roma continued their 100% start to their pre-season preparations with an entertaining victory over Debreceni VSC on Sunday night.

After going behind early on at the Stadio Benito Stirpe in Frosinone, a quickfire double from Borja Mayoral and Lorenzo Pellegrini ensured Jose Mourinho's side had the upper hand before the end of the first half.

After a series of changes for the second stanza the Giallorossi really made their quality show, as Nicolo Zaniolo and Edin Dzeko both produced clinical finishes to put the result out of reach.

With the scoreline reading 4-2, Dzeko then delivered another fine goal with 10 minutes remaining to add a smile to both his and Mourinho's faces.

The game was also notable for it being Rui Patricio's first appearance in a Roma shirt, while Ebrima Darboe started the game in central midfield after overcoming a recent slight injury.

The Giallorossi travel to Portugal on Monday morning for the next stage of their pre-season preparations.
