Greggi overjoyed to make Italy debut

Roma Women midfielder Giada Greggi has expressed her delight at realising her dream and making her debut for Italy.

Greggi, 20, was a second-half substitute as the Azzurre beat Bosnia & Herzegovina 2-0 in Palermo on Tuesday evening, to continue their positive qualification campaign for Euro 2021.

After the game, the Rome-born central midfielder took to social media to react to her personal milestone.

“It’ll be hard to forget the feeling I experienced today," Greggi said.

"A day I have dreamed about since I was a child. To wear this shirt and represent my country as part of this amazing group is an honour and a reason to be very proud. Forza Azzurre!”
