Stat Attack: 10 facts to know ahead of Fiorentina trip

Ahead of Saturday's visit to the Artemio Franchi, here are 10 facts and figures you really should know about the contest...

    Home comforts

This weekend's game will be the 81st time the two clubs have faced each other in Florence. To the date the home side have the advantage in the fixture: they have won 34 times, with 31 draws and 15 Giallorossi victories.

    Draw drought...

Only one of the last 14 games between these two sides has ended in a draw - back in January 2015, when the sides drew 1-1. Of the other 13 games, Fiorentina won four - and Roma nine.

    Last time out

In this fixture last year, Eusebio Di Francesco's side won 4-2 at the Franchi - thanks to a brace from Gerson and further goals from Manolas and Perotti. Gerson is now on loan at the Viola, and could face his parent club on Saturday.

    Building a fortress

Fiorentina are unbeaten in their last five home games in Serie A: winning four of those.

    Never go back

Only Fiorentina and Cagliari are still yet to go behind in a home game in Serie A this season.

    Simeone danger

Fiorentina forward Giovanni Simeone has scored a goal in each of the last two league games he has played against Roma.

    Totti at the top (again)

Yet another opponent against whom Francesco Totti has scored more goals than any other Roma player. The No. 10 scored 14 goals against Fiorentina in his career (13 in the league, one in the Supercoppa) - putting him well ahead of Abel Balbo, Bruno Conti and Roberto Pruzzo (7).

    The dugout battle

Stefano Pioli and Eusebio Di Francesco have faced off as managers eight times before in their careers. They are still yet to share a draw - each coach walking away the victory on four occasions.

    EDF's side on the road

Here's how Di Francesco has got on in away games since taking over as Roma boss: from 24 games, he has won 14 and lost three (drawing seven). The Giallorossi have scored 35 (1.46 a game) and conceded 14 (0.58 a game).

All that adds up to 49 points gained, or an average 2.04 per game. Only Vincenzo Montella (2.17 points per game in six games) has a better away record among Roma coaches in the three-points-for-a-win era.

    A rare Franchi double

It has been a while since Roma last won two in a row at the Franchi - managing it between the 2012-13 and 2013-14 campaigns. For those occasions the wins came under two different managers: Aurelio Andreazzoli overseeing the first and Rudi Garcia notching the second.
