Yet rather than take any individual plaudits, the Primavera keeper pointed to the strength of the group after they emerged victorious from a tough contest to set up a quarter-final clash with Paris Saint-Germain.
“You could tell it was the last 16 of the Youth League,” Crisanto explained after the U19s' triumph in the Netherlands on Wednesday. “It's nice to win a game like that, especially if you've spent part of it trailing. We showed what a great team we are.”
It was a very difficult match. What's your assessment of it?
“I thought we bossed it to be honest. We had nearly all the possession while our opponents only attacked on the counter.”
There were plenty of thrills at both ends, though.
“After we conceded the opener we had to get ourselves back in the game and we let them have too much space. Still, I think we showed that we're a very compact side. Before the shootout we all helped fire each other up. The guys who stepped up to the spot were calm and it all went well for us in the end.”
Who do you want to dedicate the win to?
“I'd like to thank everyone, from the coaching staff and physios who create the best conditions for us to go out there and play and the other lads who weren't here today physically but were with us in spirit.”
