Antonio Rudiger played the full 90 minutes of Germany’s 3-2 defeat by England in Berlin on Saturday night
The Giallorossi defender performed well at centre-back alongside Mats Hummels in Joachim Loew’s 4-3-3 formation.
In an entertaining contest, world champions Germany opened up a 2-0 lead through Toni Kroos and then Mario Gomez either side of half-time, but the visitors rallied with magnificent strikes from Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy levelling the scores. And there was a further sting in the tail for Rudiger’s side as Eric Dier rose highest to head home an injury-time corner for 3-2.
There was only one other Roma player on international duty of Saturday night, but Wojciech Szczesny was an unused substitute as Poland thrashed Finland 5-0 in Wroclaw.
