The Polish shotstopper has made 35 appearances for the Giallorossi this season since joining on loan from Arsenal last summer.
“Everyone knows I'm really happy here,” Szczesny said in an interview with Sky Sport Italia. “I'd like to be able to tell you about my future but I don't know what it holds for me. I've expressed my intentions to the two clubs and now it's up to them. I have to decide what's best for my career.”
Is it disappointing to be out of the title race?
“Obviously our performances between October and the middle of January are what ruled us out of contention for the Scudetto. Before then we were playing well and since [Luciano] Spalletti came in we've been superb. It's hard to say what happened but we must be consistent next season – that will be key.”
Are Roma ready to fight till the end to secure Champions League qualification?
“Of course. We want to keep this run going that we've been on over the last ten games. It's all about performing consistently. Hopefully we can finish on a high and make sure we qualify.”
Does it help that you're playing with a settled backline?
“The more you play together, the better your understanding becomes. There's no doubt about the quality of the players and if we keep working as well as we have been the results will keep coming.”
What do you think of Leicester chasing their title dream in England?
“No one in football can explain the Leicester miracle. Even though I support Arsenal in the Premier League, I'd like to see [Claudio] Ranieri's side win it. They're an example and an inspiration to everyone. It's exciting to watch them play.”
