"Training in the rain with Alisson Becker," Szczesny wrote on Instagram - as a caption to a photo featuring the two men. "Great guy and a fantastic goalkeeper! Soon to be one of the best in the world!"
Coach Spalletti also spoke about the two men during his pre-match press conference on Saturday.
"Until recently there would have been a bit of confusion over the two keepers, but now it’s clear to see for everyone," he said. "We’ve got two goalkeepers. With Szczesny we have different options and qualities and if he’s not available we have someone who is able to provide cover and show his ability.
"We need both of them ... our training games could end 0-0, given how good they both are.”
