On Sunday Francesco Totti made his first appearance of 2017 - meaning he has now played in 25 different, successive calendar years for AS Roma.

A remarkable achievement, and a fitting testimony to his longevity, Totti replaced Stephan El Shaarawy shortly after the hour-mark against Udinese at the Dacia Arena - with his range of passing on full display as the Giallorossi eventually closed out a 1-0 win.

Totti made his Roma debut in March 1993, and has represented the Giallorossi in Serie A every year since.

On Sunday he made no mention of his personal milestone, preferring instead to praise the team performance in a post on Twitter.

"Mission accomplished," Totti wrote. "An important win!"
