Juan Jesus proud of grinding display

Juan Jesus believes Roma are starting to show signs of a formidable team spirit, after grinding out another away victory on Sunday afternoon

The Giallorossi beat Torino 1-0 thanks to Aleksandar Kolarov's free-kick, matching a Serie A record of 11 straight away wins (a run that started last season) - while also continuing their record of being yet to concede away from home in the league this season.

And Jesus was quick to pay tribute to his teammates afterwards.

"It was a difficult game, we've done well - we gave them little and did enough to take the three points," Jesus said. "We always want to prepare for each game in the same way. The coach is always good at making sure the squad stays fresh.

"These sort of games can be decided by a corner or a free-kick and we did that.

"When players change or roles change the mentality shouldn't. We all want to help the squad. The result shows we are ready to give everything as a group."

Jesus also had some kind words for central defensive partner Hector Moreno, who made his first start for the club.

"He deserves the compliments for a good first start," the Brazilian added. "He works hard in training, he earned his chance and did great - very calm."
