Crowe, the star of the 200 Ridley Scott film, was on hand to help present the screening - which saw the Italian Cinema Orchestra provide a stirring soundtrack to the film as it was played on a big screen inside the Colosseum for a select group of lucky observers.
And the Australian actor was joined by Totti for the occasion, as the legendary former Giallorossi player presented his friend with signed shirts and offered his own support to the occasion.
The event, run by Rotary International in conjunction with Roma's charity arm Roma Cares, aimed to raise funds for End Polio Now - an initiative to eradicate polio around the world.
