The Giallorossi community take part in “Roma Cura Roma” event to upgrade the city’s green spaces

On 11 May, AS Roma and its community participated in the third edition of the “Roma Cura Roma” initiative, promoted by Rome’s Department for the Environment, Agriculture and Waste.

AS Roma Chief Commercial and Brand Officer Michael Wandell, Rome’s Councillor for the Environment Sabrina Alfonsi and the President of Municipio VII Francesco Laddaga were present at the event. The work carried out by Roma volunteers in the gardens of Villa Lais - not far from Viale Agostino di Bartolomei - focused on upgrading green spaces and looking after animal habitats, with the aim of increasing awareness on issues to do with protecting, respecting, and taking care of communal spaces, something the whole city is responsible for.

Fans from the AIRC and UTR Roma Clubs and young athletes from the AS Roma Football School played a central role in the activities and attended a special lesson aimed at raising awareness of respect for animals and their habitats. Club Partner Decò also contributed to the initiative by supplying food for the park’s cat population.

For this occasion, supporters from Roma Fan Clubs have vowed to collaborate with the Municipio VII and the volunteer society 'Amici Villa Lais' to refurbish the plaque on Viale Agostino Di Bartolomei within the park in the coming weeks.
