Dybala: "We deserved the win, now let's focus on Atalanta"

Paulo Dybala spoke to the media after Roma's 2-1 Coppa Italia round of 16 victory over Cremonese.

Here's what the Argentinian had to say...

There was a period when the ball refused to go in, and Cremonese had the potential to harm you.

"Yes, it appeared that Cremonese was our weak point, didn't it? I think we underestimated the game and were not clinical enough. Despite having opportunities, we failed to capitalise on them. Football is like that. They had a chance and scored.

“They play well. They have a good footballing philisophy, and are a beautiful team to watch. But we reacted well in the second half. We had other chances and deserved to win.”

You were brought on to add more quality. You found the winning formula with Romelu [Lukaku].

"No, I believe we all did well, not just me. The three changes helped the team with their freshness. As I previously stated, we had opportunities both at the beginning and at the end. Azmoun also performed well. His energy and positivity are very important for us.

“I believe we struggled in the first half, but we had numerous chances in the second half and deserved to win and qualify.”

And now Lazio in the quarter-finals.

"Now Lazio. But first we have to think about Atalanta.”

But you can't dismiss the quarter-finals like that. A Derby in the quarter-finals is a great deal.

"Without a doubt. It will be something beautiful for football and for the fans."

    And for Roma?

"We have to think about Atalanta and then we'll think about Lazio."
