"It was a brilliant game to watch and to be a part of," Guidi said afterwards.

"But you wouldn't expect anything else; both sides - on the pitch and on the bench - are full of talented players with great prospects.

"I have to give praise to the lads; I was a bit annoyed with the attitude in places during the draw against Empoli, but they always work hard in training - and today's performance was evidence of that."
