Some scintillating interplay between Tammy Abraham, Lorenzo Pellegrini, Paulo Dybala and Nicolo Zaniolo saw the Giallorossi fly out into a 3-0 lead, with Pellegrini scoring the opening and Gianluca Mancini and an own goal providing the other two strikes.

In the second half Zaniolo got the goal that his efforts warranted, as substitute Edoardo Bove added a late flourish to proceedings with a clinical finish.

Roma created chances throughout with many of their attacking moves earning appreciative noise from the sold-out crowd - who also had the chance to see new signing Georginio Wijnaldum in action for the first time.

Pre-season is now over for the side; they travel to face Salernitana next Sunday in their first Serie A engagement of the 2022-23 season.
