Winter signing Emilie Haavi has revealed how well she has adjusted to life with Roma Women - both on the pitch and off it.

The experienced Norway international has already made a decisive impact for Alessandro Spugna's side, providing the crucial assist that kicked off a dramatic comeback win over Empoli earlier in the month - before scoring the winner in last weekend's hard-fought 1-0 triumph against Napoli.

Speaking to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, Haavi revealed that such a quick adjustment to the rigours of Serie A is the result of a quick adjustment off the pitch too.

"From the off I got a great impression of the club, everyone involved has high ambitions," Haavi said.

"Italian football is very different to Norwegian football and I wanted to take on that challenge. I feel like I made the right decision. I'm really happy here and every day I feel a bit more comfortable in my surroundings."

She added: "We are six points off the top of the table but we aren't really focusing on that right now - we are always focused on the next match.

"Clearly we want to be in the Champions League next season but to do that we have to take things game by game. So right now we are focused fully on Como [in the Coppa Italia] this weekend."
