Pellegrini makes history with opening goal

Pellegrini scored brilliantly to equalise midway through the first half at the Stadio Olimpico - notching his first goal in the new UEFA competition, having also found the net in the preliminary play-off against Trabzonspor.

Having also scored in the Champions League (for Roma) and Europa League (for both Sassuolo and Roma), Pellegrini thus became the first player to achieve the triple - although teammate Stephan El Shaarawy joined him soon after with a similarly great finish.
