Uber Eats become club's Official Food Delivery Partner

AS Roma are delighted to announce a new agreement that sees Uber Eats become the club’s Official Food Delivery partner.

Uber Eats began operating in Italy in 2016 and is now available in over 50 cities around the country – including Rome. This is the first time the food delivery application has partnered with an Italian football club.

With this new partnership, the club is delighted to be joining forces with a young, innovative brand like Uber Eats – a key player in the new, emerging economy.

“We welcome Uber Eats with enthusiasm and a shared ambition – offering them all our passion and creativity as we begin working together,” said Alexander Scotcher, AS Roma’s Commercial Director.

“At Roma we grow and progress alongside our partners, as we all feed on the excitement and emotions that only football is capable of inspiring.

“Uber Eats and Roma share a lot in common: a digital focus, constant innovation, and a desire to speak to a younger demographic. We hope that this will be the beginning of a long and fruitful journey together.”

As part of the partnership, the two companies aim to unite sport, technology and food in a manner that offers all Roma supporters an invaluable service.

A number of special initiatives are planned – not just for users of the Uber Eats app, but also for fans and any restaurant partners who want to join forces with AS Roma.

The Uber Eats brand will also see a strong presence at the Stadio Olimpico throughout all of the Giallorossi’s home games.

“Football unites people across generations and continents, but in Rome the passion for football is even greater,” said Jean Adrien Monleau, General Manager of Uber Eats Italia.

“You feel that in the streets, the squares and the restaurants. We want our brand to become associated with all those exciting and emotional moments that football creates – both before, during and after the games.

“We are delighted to join forces with AS Roma; an historic, passionate and ambitious club. We thank them for putting their trust in us and the daily service we provide to homes around Italy, and we cannot wait to enjoy this season today.”

The partnership will make its debut at the Olimpico on Sunday 12 September, during the home Serie A meeting with Sassuolo.

A number of activations are planned, including a visible presence on the pitchside LED displays and a special launch promotion that will allow all fans to enjoy a 25% discount on their next food order.

To take advantage of the offer, fans simply need to insert the code ASROMA1927 in the app.

The offer will be available up until kick-off in Thursday’s Europa Conference League match against CSKA Sofia.
