Manuela Giugliano signs new deal until 2023

The club is delighted to announce that Manuela Giugliano has extended her contract until 2023.

The Italy international midfielder has put pen-to-paper on a two-year extension with Roma Women, as she heads into her second season for Betty Bavagnoli's side.

"I decided to sign a new deal because I feel good here," Giugliano said.

"I’ve found a family here, and I hope to stay for as long as possible and win a few trophies for the club.”

Giugliano joined the Giallorosse last summer, going on to make 13 appearances during the abridged 2019-20 season - scoring two goals and providing a further four assists.

"Roma showed they really wanted to sign me and when I came here and spoke to the club, I felt at home right away," she added.

"Because of the way I am, it’s really important for me to feel like I’m part of a family. I knew that I was making the right decision straight away, and everything that happened last year only confirmed that.

"The team welcomed me from the start and made me feel like an important part of the group. When you have a good relationship with your team-mates, it helps you to express yourself better on the pitch."
