Roma Cares packs ready for delivery but club appeal to fans unable to be reached

AS Roma will begin delivering special Roma Cares packages to the homes of season ticket holders who are 75 and older on Friday but there are still 42 fans the club have not been able to contact

The packs, containing both key food items, some of which have been generously provided by Roma's partners, and medical supplies, are designed to make life easier for the most vulnerable fans who have been advised not to leave their homes during the Covid-19 lockdown in Rome.

Whilst club staff have been able to speak to the vast majority of qualifying season ticket holders to give them advance notice of the delivery of the Roma Cares package, the club would like to speak to the remaining 42 to ensure they can still receive their pack.

An email has been sent to 15 of the 42, but for the remaining 27, we have been unable to make any contact.

If you are a season ticket holder aged 75 or above and haven’t spoken to anyone from Roma Cares about your pack, or if you are directly related to a qualifying fan, please call the club on 06.89386000 or email tifosi@asroma.it.

Each of the elderly season ticket holders will receive a Roma Cares pack containing the following items:

2 x bags of Molisana pasta (2kg in total)
4 x cans of tomato sauce
1 x pack of Gentilini biscuits
    2 x packs of coffee
    2 x packs of sugar
    2 x pack of flour
1 x bottle of extra virgin olive oil
    4 x packs of salt
2 x can of tuna fish (250g each)
    1 x jar of marmalade
    1 x bag of rice
    6 x bottles of water
1 x bottle of Birra Peroni
    1x traditional Colomba easter cake
1 x copy of Friday's edition of Gazzetta dello Sport
    1 x special Covid-19 sanitary kit including:
10 x pairs of protective gloves
    5 x 80ml bottles of hand sanitizer
10 x face masks – kindly donated by Roma Club Shanghai
1 x AS Roma ‘Voglio solo star con te’ scarf (‘I only want to be with you’).

Roma Cares staff will begin making the deliveries and work through the weekend to ensure that all season ticket holders aged 75 and older will receive their pack.

“This is a very worrying time for everyone, particularly the oldest members of our community,” said Francesco Calvo, chief operating officer at AS Roma.

"It’s a small gesture from the club but we want them to know that despite them not being able to come to the stadium to support the team, we are still close to them during this moment.”
