Serie A suspended until April 3

Roma will not play a league match until at least April 3, after all Serie A matches for the next three weeks were officially suspended on Tuesday.

Roma will not play another league match in March, after all Serie A matches for the next three weeks were officially suspended on Tuesday.

The Italian football association (FIGC) has confirmed the complete postponement of all domestic matches up until April 3, in line with Italian government measures implemented to try and limit the ongoing Covid-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak in the country.

That means Roma’s scheduled league meetings with Sampdoria, AC Milan and Udinese will not now take place this month.

Further updates about those games – and additional information for ticket holders – will be announced in due course.

During Tuesday’s council meeting, FIGC president Gabriele Gravina confirmed that Serie A has up until May 31 to conclude the 2019-20 season – and instructed officials to look at all available dates that can be utilised in order to try and complete the remaining fixture schedule.

The panel, which included representatives from Serie A, Seri B, Lega Pro and the players’ association, will meet again on March 23 to discuss options for completing the domestic season, including potential alternative arrangements.
