AS Roma are delighted to announce that Nawid 'GoalMachine' Noorzai has joined Roma's esports team.
Noorzai, who previously represented Rogue Gaming, will make his competitive gaming debut in Roma colours at this weekend’s FUT Champions Cup in Bucharest, the first Global Series major of the year.
'GoalMachine' made his mark on the FIFA scene during the FIFA 18 season. He began playing competitively in December 2017 and qualified for the biggest tournament of the year - the FIFA eWorld Cup Grand Final - in 2018. He finished that season as the No. 5 player in the world on the Xbox console.
Last year, the Canadian gamer proved he was no one-season wonder. He was the Xbox Champion at the ELEAGUE LQE tournament in May, and finished the year as the No. 3 player in the world on Xbox, only after falling in the 2019 FIFA eWorld Cup to the eventual console world champion, Msdossary.

‘GoalMachine’ is very excited to kick off this competitive season with Roma: "I’ve known the whole team for a couple of years now and it’s one of the best football clubs in the esport, so it was an easy decision."
After participating in the first FUT Champions Cup, he will continue to represent the Giallorossi at all official esports events around the world.
