    Tecla Pettenuzzo joins Roma Women

Roma Women are delighted to confirm the signing of Tecla Pettenuzzo ahead of the new season.

The defender, 19, becomes the club’s seventh signing of the summer – and the second of the week, following the earlier announcement of Romanian goalkeeper Camelia Ceasar.

“I’m very excited, I can’t wait to put on the Roma shirt,” Pettenuzzo said.

Pettenuzzo, an Italy Under-19 international, spent last season at Sassuolo – playing in all 22 games for the club, scoring one goal.

Having started her career at Padova, she spent the 2017-18 season with Brescia – where she also made her debut in the Women’s Champions League.

Roma Women, under the guidance of coach Betty Bavagnoli, finished fourth in Serie A last season; in what was the club’s first-ever professional campaign.

    Welcome to Rome, Tecla!
