Behind to Elena Nichele's first-half strike, the Giallorossi produced another sparkling second half turnaround - as first Annamaria Serturini equalised with a fine long range effort, before Simonetti turned home in the last minute to clinch the three points.
The result means Betty Bavagnoli's side are now on a three-match unbeaten streak to start 2019 - as they prepare for Wednesday' Coppa Italia quarter-final first leg against Roma CF.

“It was a tough game, Verona are a good side," Simonetti said afterwards. "We had to dig deep to turn things around and in the end we managed to do that.
"The coach told me to give everything I had in the time we had left. I tried to do that – luckily I had the chance to score. We’ve started in the right way this year – now we have the Coppa Italia, a competition we want to go a long way in.”
Bavagnoli was less content.
“It was a difficult game, we were perhaps a bit lax at times," she noted. "We gifted them their goal.
"The girls made life harder for themselves, we didn’t play as well as we can. We prepared well for this game but we did not show that on the pitch – I’m not so pleased with the performance. But they didn’t give up, that is something we have to give them credit for.”
