Here are 12 facts on the tournament.
1. The UEFA Youth League is a European competition that began in 2013. The Under-19 sides of the 32 clubs that qualify for the Champions League each season gain access to the tournament.
2. This year saw the addition of the Domestic Champions path, made up of two knock-out rounds. Based on the UEFA rankings, the top 32 champions of the respective national youth leagues also took part in the competition.
3. The Under-19 line-ups of the Champions League clubs contested an identical group stage as their senior teams. Roma Primavera thus came up against Barcelona, BATE Borisov and Bayer Leverkusen in Group E.
4. The group-stage winners go straight into the last-16 of the UEFA Youth League, while the teams that finished in second place contest a play-off tie against eight clubs that qualified via the Domestic Champions path.
5. The Primavera ended up in second spot in Group E behind Barcelona and face Salzburg on 10 February at 16:00 CET for a place in the round of 16.
6. Roma are the only Italian side left in the competition. Juventus didn't make it out of Group E, while Torino were knocked out in the second round of the Domestic Champions path.
7. Tomorrow's game will be played at Stadion Salzburg where the Austrian club's first team play.
8. Sadiq Umar is the Giallorossi's top goalscorer in the competition with four goals, three of which came in Roma's 5-1 victory over Bayer Leverkusen.
9. Edoardo Soleri is one of ten players in the UEFA Youth League also to have featured in at least one Champions League match this season. The 18-year-old Giallorossi striker came on during BATE Borisov v Roma, which was also his debut in the first team.
10. Roma made their bow in the tournament last year and reached the semi-finals in Nyon, only to lose to Chelsea who went on to lift the trophy. Alberto De Rossi's boys defeated Ajax in the last-16 and Manchester City in the quarter-finals.
11. AS Roma were rewarded by UEFA for the best social-media coverage during the 2014-15 edition of the Youth League.
12. Tradition dictates that the single-legged semi-final and final of the tournament are played in Nyon. The respective dates for the season in course are 15 and 18 April.
