Former World Cup winner Ronaldo says he feels privileged to have had the chance to play against Francesco Totti during his career.
"It was an honour to play against him because he is a born winner and a great person," declared the Brazilian great in an interview with Italian newspaper Il Messaggero. “We would often meet during filming for adverts."
Ronaldo then added: “I'm proud to have been from the same generation."
Ronaldo and Totti were born five days apart on the 22 and 27 respectively in September 1976. Both legends of the game fulfilled their dreams of lifting the World Cup for their countries.
They crossed paths when Ronaldo was at Inter from 1997 to 2002, as well as when he played for Real Madrid from 2002 to 2007 and again at AC Milan the following year.
