Iturbe joins Bournemouth on loan

AS Roma today confirmed the loan transfer of Juan Manuel Iturbe to AFC Bournemouth with the publication of a financial press release

The Argentine forward, 22, joins the Premier League outfit on a six-month deal until 30 June 2016 for a fee of €1.2 million plus up to a further €1 million depending on the performances of the player and the English club.

The agreement includes an option for AFC Bournemouth to make the deal permanent and a compulsory purchase clause if certain targets are met.

Iturbe joined Roma from Hellas Verona in the summer of 2014 and made his competitive debut for the Giallorossi in a 2-0 home win against Fiorentina on 30 August 2014. He scored his first goal for the club in a 5-1 Champions League victory over CSKA Moscow on 17 September 2014.

The striker racked up 56 appearances in all competitions during his time in the capital, netting five goals in the process. He made his last appearance in a Giallorossi shirt in a Coppa Italia tie against Spezia at the Stadio Olimpico on 16 December 2015.
