Organised by former Roma defender Vincent Candela’s Trentadue foundation, the match saw two symbolic teams from the club’s past go toe-to-toe: White shirts to represent the 1964 Coppa Italia win versus red shirts in honour of the 1983 Scudetto triumph.
The Roma faithful turned out in impressive force for the occasion, with all proceeds being donated to help disadvantaged children get into sport.
There were a number of current Giallorossi players in attendance too, with Francesco Totti, Daniele De Rossi, Alessandro Florenzi, Radja Nainggolan and Morgan De Sanctis all watching on. For the record, the match finished 3-2 to the reds, with Giuseppe Giannini, Damiano Tommasi and Candela himself finding the net. Marco Delvecchio and Ruggiero Rizzitelli scored for the whites.
