The Roma midfielder made 33 appearances and scored two goals last season while on loan at Empoli.

Paredes was a member of Argentina's Sudamericano Under-17 squad in 2011, playing six games and scoring two goals.

The Men's Football Tournament at the 2016 Rio Olympics will run from 4 to 20 August. Argentina are in Group D with Honduras, Algeria and Portugal.
