12 facts and figures from Lazio 1-4 Roma

We look back at 12 key statistics from Roma's comfortable derby win...

Sunday's 4-1 victory was the 14th time Roma have won the derby by at least three clear goals, with eight of those coming with Lazio as the nominal home side. The Giallorossi hadn't won by that margin since a 5-1 rout on 10 March 2002. Roma have never lost by more than three goals in the derby (that has occurred four times). The Giallorossi have won by four or five on four occasions: 5-0 in 1933, 5-1 in 1955 and 2002 and 4-0 in 1960.

4-1

Roma have beaten Lazio for the fourth time by this scoreline. They previously managed it on 21 November 1999 (doubles from Marco Delvecchio and Vincenzo Montella on his debut in the Rome derby), 1 May 1932 (a brace from Raffaele Costantino to go along with strikes from Arturo Chini Luduena and Rodolfo Volk) and 22 February 1931 (two from Volk in this friendly, plus goals from Chini Luduena and Fernando Eusebio, the latter making his first appearance in the fixture).

Edin Dzeko has now hit double figures in his debut campaign with the Giallorossi - eight in Serie A and two in the Champions League - and also becomes the fifth Roma player to score in his first two derbies. The Bosnian's predecessors are as follows: Volk (who found the net in each of his first seven Rome derbies for a total of eight goals, before adding a further strike in his penultimate appearance in the fixture); Arne Selmosson (three goals in as many derbies for the Giallorossi); Montella (three from his first two appearances in this fixture, ending his career with a total of eight against the Biancocelesti) and Marco Borriello (two from his first couple of Rome derbies).

6

Luciano Spalletti becomes the sixth Roma coach to win at least four derbies. Spalletti's four successes bring him level with Claudio Ranieri and Helenio Herrera and he is now just one behind Luigi Barbesino in third place (five derby victories). Fabio Capello leads the way with seven, one clear of Nils Liedholm. The Swede took charge of more Rome derbies than any other Giallorossi coach, 16, while Ranieri has the best win rate having won all four of his. Geza Kertesz (2/2), Lajos Kovacs, Montella, Imre Senkey and Alec Stock (one each) all boast a 100% record too.

9/10

Roma have won nine of their last 10 league matches, collecting 28 points from a possible 30. They have scored 29 and conceded just eight in that time. The Giallorossi currently sit third in the table, four points adrift of Napoli. More than a third of their goals during this run have come courtesy of two January additions in the shape of Stephan El Shaarawy (six goals in nine appearances) and Diego Perotti (three from nine). A further five, meanwhile, have been scored by Dzeko.

10

Alessandro Florenzi captained Roma for the 10th time in his career last weekend. He also wore the armband for the first time in a derby, celebrating this double milestone by breaking his duck against Lazio.

11

Roma have done the league double over their great rivals for the 11th time in the club's history. They won both league fixtures against Lazio in the following campaigns: 1929-30, 1931-32, 1935-36, 1936-37, 1958-59, 1959-60, 1974-75, 2001-02, 2009-10 and 2010-11. Just like this term, back in 1931-32 Roma won the first match 2-0 at home (Volk and Eusebio on the scoresheet) before winning 4-1 away in the reverse fixture (thanks to two from Costantino and one each from Chini Luduena and Volk).

12

The number of goals scored by Roma in the opening 15 minutes of league games this season. El Shaarawy's opener in the derby came just a few seconds before the 16th-minute mark, to increase the total, whereas the Giallorossi found the net in the same time period on just seven occasions last term. Nonetheless, Roma have proven most prolific in the last 30 minutes of matches, the same period in which they banished any hope of a Lazio comeback in the 180th Rome derby. They have scored 13 between minutes 61 and 75 and the same number between the 76th and 90th minute.

40

El Shaarawy and Perotti became the 39th and 40th Roma players to find the net on their first appearance in the derby. In the last six Rome derbies - four wins and two draws - the Giallorossi have seen as many as five players find the net on their debut in the biggest game of the season. Edin Dzeko, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa and Adem Ljajic are the other three. A debutant has scored in each of Roma's four recent victories in the derby.

50

Following Sunday's derby triumph, Roma have now won 50 top-flight games by a 4-1 scoreline, with coming 35 at home and 15 away. Of those 15 successes on the road, Bari, Fiorentina and Lazio have been on the receiving end of two apiece, while the other nine 1-4s have come at Hellas Verona, Lucchese, Parma, Pro Vercelli, Reggiana, Ternana, Torino, Udinese and Vicenza.

67

Roma continued their dominance in this fixture, securing a 67th win over Lazio. The Giallorossi have scored 226 goals and conceded 179, leaving them with a goal difference of +48. There have been 62 draws, while the Biancocelesti have been stuck on 51 victories for three years. Sunday's win was Roma's 61st in competitive matches, their 52nd in the league and 51st in Serie A in its current format. Roma also have the edge in games played with Lazio as the nominal home side: 34 wins for the Giallorossi, 28 draws and 32 losses from 94 total previous meetings. It's 29 wins, 26 draws and 26 defeats in competitive Lazio v Roma fixtures meanwhile. Roma have won 25 of the teams' top-flight meetings "at Lazio", drawing the same number and losing 23; the Giallorossi's record in Serie A in its current guise reads: 24 wins, 25 draws and 23 losses.

67 and 183

The total number of players who have won every single Rome derby now stands at 67, while 183 players have never been on the losing side. This list includes record holder Walter Samuel, who lost none of his 10 derbies (six wins and four draws). Behind "The Wall" at the heart of Roma's 2001 title-winning defence, come Emerson, Lima and Ruggiero Rizzitelli, with no defeats from eight derby appearances.
