“I can’t wait to get to know him,” revealed the 23-year-old Paraguayan forward. “Even when I was away I followed him and the team closely. He’s shown himself to be a great coach, taking a Roma side that wasn’t playing well and proving its worth.”
Iturbe, who joined Roma from Hellas Verona in the summer of 2014, spent the second half of last season on loan at Premier League side Bournemouth.
“Sometimes it’s good to go away and come back with the right mentality – it really helped me. I had a great experience in England and now I’m here to stay and I’m looking forward to meeting my new team-mates. I made the most of my holidays and now I can’t wait to get started.”
Iturbe has so far scored six goals and made 56 appearances in one and a half seasons with Roma.
