Roma stars Daniele De Rossi and Alessandro Florenzi both started as Italy beat Spain 2-0 to progress to the quarter-finals of the European Championship on Monday.
Goals from Giorgio Chiellini and Graziano Pelle secured the win for Antonio Conte's side, sending the reigning champions out of the competition.
De Rossi and Florenzi had a big influence throughout the first half but were withdrawn during the second half, as Conte looked to freshen his lineup and preserve the Azzurri's lead.
The third Giallorossi member of the squad, Stephan El Shaarawy, was an unused substitute.
Italy will now face Germany in the quarterfinals on Saturday 2 June at 21:00 CEST.
