From tears to Totti, emotional fan meets his hero

The TV cameras picked out his face in the crowd because it expressed what every Giallorossi fan was feeling.

“They were tears of relief, I just couldn't stop myself,” 22-year-old Alessio explained the day after Roma's dramatic 3-2 victory over Torino.

“When it comes to Roma, I just can't control my emotions.”

On Thursday Alessio followed it up with another truly unforgettable experience as he got to meet Totti in the flesh in Trigoria.

“I didn't know what to say," Alessio admitted after his meeting with the Giallorossi skipper. "I'm quite a shy person and Totti is even shier than I am.

“It was great to be able to meet him and chat to him the same way as I do my with friends.

"He's a legend and he means so much to me. If you love Roma, you can't not love Totti. He made his debut before I was born so I've grown up with him.”

Alessio also met Luciano Spalletti at the training ground. The coach described him as the epitome of the joy all Roma fans felt when Totti scored his penalty.
