Winger Iago Falque scored two goals before being subbed off in the 69th minute of Torino’s 2-1 victory over Chievo Verona on Saturday.
In the 35th minute Falque opened the scoring, putting in a header at the back post after a cross from full-back Antonio Barreca. Falque doubled Torino’s advantage just minutes later, drifting into the box and launching a curling shot with his left foot that beat goalkeeper Stefano Sorrentino.
In addition to netting both of Torino’s goals in the match, the Spaniard also won two aerial duels, completed 88.9% of his passes, and had one key pass.
Falque now has seven goals and three assists in 11 Serie A matches this season. Next up for Falque and Torino is an away match against Sampdoria.
