View from the Opposition: Crotone come to the Olimpico

Cro

We learn more about Wednesday's visitors, who are looking to make an impression on Serie A in their debut campaign in the top flight...

After a 1-0 loss to Fiorentina, Roma hope to bounce back against newly promoted Crotone - who are currently bottom of the league - on Wednesday.

In order to find out more about the squad, we spoke to Andy from @FCCrotoneScot about the team and the game...

Crotone finished second in Serie B last season, but currently find themselves bottom of the league with only one point, how has the season gone so far?

"It has not been a good start, but it was great to pick up the first point of the season on Saturday against Palermo. Our home performances have been better than our away form so far, although we have generally held our own in my opinion."

What was the transfer window like for Crotone?

"Unfortunately we lost our talisman of last season, Ante Budimir, to Sampdoria in the summer. He has been a massive loss - which is especially annoying as he hasn't featured much for them so far. He was a big fans favourite of the Crotone Scotland loyal."

Which players could make an impact against Roma?

"Raffaele Palladino is our main man at the moment hopefully he can put in a performance."

Cro 2

What sort of tactical set-up could we see from Crotone in this match?

"I imagine we will try and contain Roma for as long as possible and try and nick something on the break. Nothing is expected of Crotone from this game and we will just be enjoying competing with the big boys."

How do Crotone fans view Roma? And what have they made of Roma's transfer window?

"Roma have started well, although still look shaky at the back which doesn't look like it has improved from last year. They have done well to make Mohamed Salah a permanent signing and manage to keep ahold of Nainggolan. Vermaelen may improve them at the back if he can stay fit."

Cro 3

If you could add one player from Roma to Crotone’s squad, who would it be?

"It would have to be Dzeko, he would replace the goals lost from Budimir's departure."

What is your score prediction for the game?

"The heart says a sneaky win for Crotone, but head says a narrow win for Roma."
