The Giallorossi bounced back in fine fashion from the weekend disappointment, with goals from Stephan El Shaarawy, Mohamed Salah and Edin Dzeko (twice) clinching a 4-0 win at the Stadio Olimpico.
And Florenzi believes the team showed the right character to turn the frustration of Florence into a positive display.
“It was important to reproduce the performance we showed in Florence," Florenzi said. "We channelled our anger right from the start tonight and there was only going to be one outcome.”
Does it boost your confidence to get to ten points?
“We know what we’re capable of. We know that we’re a good side but we need to show that every day in training and when it counts in matches. We need to keep doing what we’re doing and try to stay on track.”
Edin Dzeko had a great game tonight, scoring a brace. How do you rate his performance?
“He really is playing well, especially his contribution to the team. His movement is fantastic and we have lots of good players to find him and give him the best chance of scoring.”
Are you settled at full-back or will your position change again?
“It’s not an issue. We’re all ready to play wherever the boss wants us to.”
