Mohamed Salah played the first 70 minutes of Egypt’s opening match of the African Cup of Nations on Tuesday evening as the Pharaohs drew 0-0 with Mali.
Salah enjoyed 34 touches of the ball during the game, with a 73% passing accuracy, before a misjudged tackle earned him a yellow card.
He was subsequently replaced by Ramadan Sobhi.
With one point, the Egyptian team now sit in second place behind Ghana.
They face Uganda in the second game of Group D, on Saturday 21 January.
