Italian MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi has become the latest sports star to pay tribute to Francesco Totti with a special dedication on his race helmet at Mugello this weekend.
The nine-time world champion's helmet has a cartoon image of himself dressed in an Italy shirt preparing to take a penalty saying “Mo je faccio er cucchiaio” (“Watch me chip this one”) – the famous line uttered by Totti before doing just that against Edwin van der Sar in the Euro 2000 semi-final shootout versus the Netherlands.
“Un Capitano... C'è solo un Capitano!” appears across an Italy flag on the back of the helmet.

Rossi also pays tribute to US rider Nicky Hayden, who died recently following a road accident: on the side of the helmet, Rossi's number 46 can be seen merging with Hayden's 69.
