Alisson named in Brazil squad for the World Cup

Brazil coach Tite had already made it clear that the Roma No. 1 would be in his 23-man selection for the tournament, after playing a key role in the qualification phase.

The 25-year-old is the first Giallorossi player to be named in a final squad for the tournament, which gets underway in June.

Elsewhere on Monday, Federico Fazio and Diego Perotti were both named in Argentina's provisional squad for the competition.

Coach Jorge Sampaoli still needs to cut 12 players from his preliminary 35-man selection prior to the tournament start.
