AS Roma Club UK cofounder Matteo and Marco from the CurvaAmerica podcast join RomaThings as they are put on the spot with three topical football questions…

The Roma Question: What will be your lasting memory from Roma's incredible Champions League campaign?

Matteo / @MatXIV: “Going to Stamford Bridge with my friends from Roma Club United Kingdom has been fantastic. I will never forget our celebrations after Dzeko's great goals. That night, I realised our team was ready to fight against the best teams in Europe. Another unforgettable moment was the final whistle of the Barcelona game. I was in disbelief, but so proud...a friend called me and said "let's go out and celebrate.” When was last time we celebrated that way for a Roma game?!”

Marco / @CurvAmerica: “This is an easy one – the Barcelona comeback at the Olimpico was absolutely epic! Not only was this arguably one of the greatest underdog comeback wins in Champions League history, it was showcasing a team that often doesn’t receive the respect it deserves.

Roma has a star-studded line-up, is supported by an amazing fan base, and represents one the greatest cities on earth! Ok, so maybe we’re a little biased, but this also made it the first time that two Serie A sides were in the quarterfinals since the Milan glory days, and this was an opportunity for Serie A to be showcased as well. There will be few times in life that Roma fans will ever feel so satisfied - I still get the “pelle d’oca” thinking about the win.”

De Rossi’s Tattoo / @RomaThings: “I think the whole campaign will be remembered by Roma fans for a long time. Not only that, but I also think the Barca game is going to be a historical game that will never be forgotten by football fans in general. Beyond being an amazing memory, I hope this amazing Champions League run has a lasting effect on the ambition and mentality of the club. It truly should be a turning point.”

The Serie A Question: With just a few games to go, how will the Top 4 finish in Serie A?

@MatXIV: “Roma will finish third and Lazio will send Inter to Europa League. Without Immobile, it will be more difficult, but I think they can make it. I cannot wait to see them facing Barcelona or Liverpool.”

@CurvAmerica: “Juve, Napoli, Roma, Inter. Unfortunately, Napoli were not able to ride the momentum of the Turin victory to the end of the season, but the Partenopei deserve a lot of praise for what they have been able to accomplish (we know, it’s not over yet, but unfortunately - it’s over). They could have really used some extra reinforcements in the January transfer window. Roma should be (please don’t make us regret this) able to finish the season in third.”

It will be a photo finish. Our feeling is that Icardi is going to have a chip on his shoulder with the World Cup coming up and a Capocannoniere title in reach. I can’t believe he’s still only 25.”

@RomaThings: “Realistically (and statistically) Roma and Lazio have the highest chance of obtaining Champions League spots. But as football taught us this season, anything can happen. It will be an exciting and critical 3 games for all involved. Roma's fate is in their hand, I hope they finish the job without much drama.”

The General Football Question: Which team would you rather see win the Champions League final?

@MatXIV: “I would like to see Momo Salah lifting the trophy and winning the Balon d'Or, but I found out that due to the UEFA coefficient ranking, if Liverpool do not win the game, then Roma could make it to pot two in next year's Champions League group stage draw. So...Forza Real!”

@CurvAmerica: “Going to be tough seeing Liverpool win knowing that we were so close to beating them, but have to lean towards the Reds over Los Blancos. They are the underdogs, there is the Boston connection, and, despite asking to leave Roma at the end of last season, Mo Salah has been pure class. Also, is anyone else tired of this Spanish dominance in Europe?”

@RomaThings: “While I have always enjoyed rooting for the underdogs in sport, I am going to make an exception this year and hope Madrid can win it. I like the pragmatism and effectiveness of Zidane's team. On the other hand, I have bitter taste in my mouth about how some Liverpool players and fans handled themselves after the tie in Rome. A dose of humbleness in the final will do them good.”
