Alva Selerud became Roma Women's first signing of 2023 on Wednesday, as she completed a move to the Italian capital.
Selerud will become the seventh Swedish player to represent the Giallorosse, with compatriots Beata Kollmats, Elin Landstrom, Emma Lind and Stephanie Ohrstrom already part of Alessandro Spugna's current squad.

Her carrier so far...
Born in 2000, Selerud began her career at Svartinge SK before joining powerhouses IFK Norrkoping as a junior player.
Her senior debut would come for Linkoping FC in 2017, as she made her breakthrough in the Swedish top flight. Within a year she was a regular player for the side, who would also end up competing in the Women's Champions League.
For the national team...
Great performances at club level have seen Selerud play for Sweden's Under-23 side on a number of occasions, while she has also recently received call-ups to the senior squad.
Playing style
Selerud is a versatile player capable of filling a number of different roles. Naturally left-footed, she has played both in attacking and defensive roles in her career to date.
Renowned for her ability to get up and down the flank, in recent times she has increasingly played in a deeper position.
The statistics
In her last season at Linkoping Selerud made 26 appearances for the club, scoring two goals.
She also contributed 10 assists, leading the Swedish league in that particular category. Overall she made 81 appearances for the club in all competitions, including three in Europe's top club competition.
