There is now a Primavera 1 division and a Primavera 2, just like in the men's game, with sides in the same division playing each other twice, home and away.
Two sides will be promoted and two relegated each season.
For this season, Primavera 1 has 12 sides: Roma, Juventus, Inter, Milan, Sassuolo, Fiorentina, Hellas Verona and San Marino, Parma, Lazio, Tavagnacco and Napoli.
The national title will still be decided by a play-off: the top four in the league standings will go on to compete in a Final Four showdown.
