The 19-year-old, who burst onto the scene late in 2021 with a match-winning brace off the bench against Genoa, was placed 21st on the list by the website's panel.
Borussia Dortmund and England midfielder Jude Bellingham took top spot in the list, which aims to rank the best players in the world born in 2003 or later.
"The 19-year-old forward, who arrived at the Giallorossi in January 2021 as a relative unknown in his native Ghana, possesses blistering pace and plenty of skill, making him a nightmare for opposition defenders," the panel wrote.
"A raw talent, Afena-Gyan’s almost seamless transition into life as a Serie A player suggests that he can continue to make a name for himself at the top of the European game."
It has been a big week for Afena-Gyan, who is currently away with the Ghanaian senior men's national team for the first time in his career.
Congratulations, Felix!
