Report: Five goals to round off pre-season as fans return

Roma rounded off their pre-season planning with an emphatic 5-0 victory over Raja Club Athletic on Saturday evening, in a game that saw fans return to the Stadio Olimpico for the first time since the pandemic.

Thousands of supporters were at the stadium to see Jose Mourinho in the home dugout for the first time - and the Giallorossi did not disappoint, as they scored five goals across the 90 minutes to record an emphatic victory.

Eldor Shomurodov, Gianluca Mancini, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Carles Perez and Borja Mayoral all got on the scoresheet, while there was also an impressive first performance from summer signing Matias Vina.

Mourinho's side now turn their attention to competitive action: they face Trabzonspor in the first game of their UEFA Europa Conference League campaign on Thursday.
