Pacioni's Diary: The Primavera captain goes to Toulouse!

After recounting her pre-season training camp experience for us, Primavera captain Eleonora Pacioni continues to keep some notes as her experience with the first team progresses!

This week the team are in Toulouse, France, to participate in the AMOS French Women's Cup alongside Paris Saint-Germain, Olympique Lyonnais and Bayern Munich.

    DAY 4

The last match of the tournament: the final itself.

After the incredible performance against PSG on Wednesday, we were back in action barely 48 hours later - a tough ask for any team, but a good one too, especially from in terms of our mentality.

I think Bayern showed that they are further down the road than us in terms of their preparations; they've been training for a week more than us, after all. But I think we held our own for 70 minutes and, overall, it was definitely an experience that every one of us took a lot from.

So that was it for our adventure here in Toulouse - and also for my diary too.

I hope it was enjoyable for you guys, as we embark on this pre-season. Please make sure you continue to follow the team from August 28 onwards - when the season really begins!

    DAY 3

The day began with training, as usual. After the efforts in the game on Wednesday, though, we started with a recovery session - and then those of us who were on the bench for the game headed out to the training pitch with the coach. Obviously we are already focusing hard on Friday's final, against Bayern Munich.

Lunch was a bit different today as well, as we discovered the fixture list for Serie A this season while we were having it. It turns out we will face Empoli away from home first up.

In the afternoon we had a bit of time off to relax and unwind, and Anna Serturini and I went and played table football. Who do you think won?!

    DAY 2

What a day! What a game!

Today was really just an incredibly exciting and emotional day. To walk out in a stadium like that, for the first time as a footballer, was something really special for me.

I've already told you guys that this is a summer of 'firsts' for me, I guess - but everything else was totally down to my teammates. They put in an incredible performance, they went toe-to-toe with one of the very best sides in Europe without any fear or nerves.

Both goals we scored were celebrated wildly on the bench - and even the fans in the stands seemed to enjoy it too. Manuela Giugliano and Annamaria Serturini showed their class to decide the game with the goals that they scored.

It's a shame about the injury about Lucia Di Guglielmo, we all wish her well with her recovery. We hope she will be back with us on the pitch again very soon.

Now we will focus on Friday's final. We know we need to keep our feet on the ground and make sure we build towards our future day-by-day.

    DAY 1

The pre-season preparations continue! After our training camp in Terminillo, now we start to face a few friendlies in preparation for the new season.

My teammates read with interest what I had to say in my training camp diaries and so, not wanting to let down the fans (as they say), I will keep everyone updated with my diaries from the Amos Women's French Cup too.

For me it is a summer of firsts; after the training camp, to now be joining the team for an international event is another new experience for me - something I haven't experienced yet even with national teams.

Today we travelled to the venue, using the trip as a chance to rest up and prepare ourselves a bit mentally for the game on Wednesday against Paris Saint-Germain.

We know that they will be a tough opponent, especially because they are used to playing in big competitions like this. Nevertheless it will be a great test for us, and really help us understand where we can improve and develop.
